Leading from the Front

Leadership skills are rarely taught in schools or on the job, yet they are necessary skills that help women find personal and professional success. There are many misconceptions about what it takes to be a leader. Leadership isn’t about power, prestige, position or job title. Being a leader is about influencing outcomes and inspiring others – as women we do this every day. Every woman is a leader in some aspect of her life, yet many women haven’t considered themselves leaders often apologizing for leadership roles in corporations.  Teaching women leadership skills learned from their time as Marines is Angie Morgan and Courtney Lynch goal. Learn skills that can be applied immediately directly from the Marines with a twist just for women.

Introduction

Angie and Courtney received an outstanding leadership education after being commissioned United States Marine Corps officers. In the Corps, the women learned to lead in a highly competitive environment. The US Marine Corps remains the military branch with the fewest women - out of 180,000 warriors only 1,000 are female officers.

Angie and Courtney have shared their leadership message with tens of thousands of professionals in Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, law firms, and educational institutions. Lead Star’s empowering message resonates everywhere. From senior executives, to administrative assistants, a wide range of professionals have realized the benefits leadership skills can bring to their lives.
